Future Unlimited breaks new ground in Japan

More than 1,400 students and parents in Tokyo and Osaka visited the Australia Future Unlimited Education Exhibition (AFUEE) Japan 2018.

Representatives from 50 Australian universities, vocational schools, accommodation providers and state government marketing bodies were on hand to provide advice about study and life in Australia.

AFUEE is the largest Australian Government-run event in Japan and the only platform that allows all Australian education institutions to promote themselves.

This year saw the first AFUEE to be held in Osaka, which was reported on TV by national broadcaster, NHK. More than 400 students and 41 institutions participated in this successful inaugural AFUEE.

Interestingly, many Japanese students seem to be shifting away from the idea of short-term English language study to obtaining career qualifications from an Australian university or vocational education and training institute.
