The Competition

Organized by Austrade Jakarta and partnering with some of Australia’s leading universities, students from Austrade partner schools across Jakarta, Surabaya, Bali and Makassar have the opportunity to win a trip to Australia and learn more about the application of STEM disciplines in the real world.

  • Teams must consist of a pair (2) of students and one supervising science, technology or mathematics teacher
  • Schools can nominate a maximum of five (5) entries
  • Student teams must produce a short video in English, no longer than 90 seconds, on the chosen theme, along with a 500 word typed essay explaining their ideas and providing sources for the information cited (in English)

The competition runs from 1 January 2018 to 15 April 2018. The deadline for submission of videos and essays is 15 April 2018. Entries will be judged in late April 2018 and winners announced by email in May 2018. Study tours to Australia will occur in July and August 2018.
