Cheuk Kap Ting - Hong Kong

School life at Taylors College is not just learning, but also filled with other activities such as sports, debating and chess competitions.

Course: Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy)
University of Sydney
Sydney, New South Wales

Upon my arrival to Sydney, Taylors College gave me an extremely positive first impression. The school is a very modern building equipped with excellent learning resources. The 4-story building consists of many classrooms, computer laboratories, a common room, a library, an art room, and five science laboratories. The classrooms all have computers to help the teachers to teach the students effectively. Most of them have interactive whiteboards, which are also very useful.

The teachers at Taylors College are all very friendly and engaging, encouraging students to express their own opinions. This interactive learning style not only allows students to quickly adapt to Australia’s culture, but it also helps them in using and learning English, as it is the second language for many of the students. The study guides prepared by the teachers are a very helpful resource for students to learn from throughout the course. All the material in the study guide is sorted out into topics and useful notes from lessons can be written down inside the study guide for convenience during revision. Students are usually encouraged to prepare before attending lessons to help their understanding of certain topics.

The school aims to prepare students for their university lives. Therefore, many of the assignments at school involve the usage of essay writing, research, and presentation skills. These assignments are not for English only, but for all other subjects as well. The feedback and suggestions from teachers are essential for the improvement of certain aspects in the assignment. This was all very crucial to the development of such skills.

School life at Taylors College is not just learning, but also filled with other activities such as sports competitions, debate competitions, and chess competitions. The school organises excursion activities for students to participate, to discover and know more about Sydney. This makes the experience at Taylors and all-round experience.

At Taylors College, making friends and participating always boosts your spirits even when you feel unmotivated. By being involved in activities, it makes the experience at Taylors College unforgettable, and truly one of a kind.
