"I'm really worried about environmental degradation and pollution. Pursuing research in material science, I want to develop nature friendly materials which will replace harmful material and help alleviate problem of environment pollution and will enhance environmental sustainability in the world. I believe Australia has the best universities in this field."

Uttam Kumars Postcard

In 2013, we challenged students from around the world to compete for a year of study in Australia by creating a postcard that illustrated and described how an Australian education would lead to future success.

We received almost 37,000 entries from 190 countries. Seven weekly finalists were selected to undertake a two week study tour of Australia in December 2013. Watch the finalists video.

Uttam Kumar from India was assessed by an independent panel of judges as the overall winner of the competition and he has chosen to study at the University of New South Wales in Sydney. You can follow Uttam’s journey here.
