Onshore Student Sentiment Tracker

Assist us in understanding international students’ needs during COVID-19.

The Study Australia Partnership is conducting an onshore international student sentiment study across four quarterly national surveys. The project will provide insights to help shape international student support services and communications.
The first survey was in the field in July 2020 and received approximately 7500 responses.

An evidence-based understanding of international students’ concerns will help to inform sector response measures and support Australia’s reputation as a safe and welcoming education destination.

The surveys identify how and where international students access information relating to their issues of concern. These insights will enable more targeted and effective communications, including through Austrade’s Study Australia website and digital channels, peak bodies and education providers.

The endeavour demonstrates our care and concern for international students’ wellbeing and their viewpoints. At the end of each quarterly survey, respondents are provided with a link to the Study Australia website that contains information on student support, and state and territory measures. The surveys are completed online and are accessible to international students over 16 years of age, currently residing in Australia.

Please share the survey links through your student communication channels.

  • Student participants who qualify and complete the survey will go into a draw to win 1 of 4 grocery e-gift cards, each to the value of AU$50. Terms & Conditions, apply.
