國際卓越中心
2004年，澳洲政府出資創立了五個卓越國際中心。
此等中心旨在透過展示澳洲的科學、教育和行政管理能力，來提升其作爲高品質教育大國的國際聲譽。透過與澳洲和世界各地的組織合作，國際中心提高了澳洲的技能基礎和研究品質。
五個中心分別是：
卓越亞太研究國際中心（International Centre of Excellence in Asia Pacific Studies）和亞太外交學院，位於坎培拉澳洲國家大學（Australian National University）內。（iceaps.anu.edu.au）
卓越旅遊與酒店管理教育國際中心（International Centre of Excellence in Tourism and Hospitality Education），位於格里菲斯大學（Griffith University）內的永續發展旅遊業合作研究中心（Cooperative Research Centre in Sustainable Tourism）。（www.the-ice.org）
卓越數學教育國際中心（International Centre of Excellence for Education in Mathematics），由澳洲數學研究所（Australian Mathematical Sciences Institute）創立，位於墨爾本大學。（www.ice-em.org.au）
卓越水資源管理國際中心（International Centre of Excellence in Water Resources Management），是由代表大學和産業的WaterEd Australia財團建立，該財團共有八位成員。此中心位於阿德萊德大學。（www.icewarm.com.au）
卓越體育科學與管理國際中心（International Centre of Excellence in Sports Science and Management），是由雪梨大學、雪梨科技大學和雪梨奧林匹克公園管理局共同組織建立。中心位於雪梨奧林匹克公園。（www.sportedu.org）。
