Sonya loves her Australian course in
Horticulture. She is delighted by the diversity of Australian plants and
animals and the fact that she has the opportunity to study species
found nowhere else in the world!
The relaxed teaching methods at
her Australian institution are another highlight for Sonya, who enjoys
taking responsibility for her own learning. “The method of education and
teaching is more relaxed and the onus is on us to do well,” she says.
Sonya’s
course is preparing her for what is expected in the horticulture
industry. Because of this, she is confident of finding a job after she
graduates. “Australian institutions are known around the world for their
high standards of education, and it is better to be associated with a
recognised institution,” she says.
Sonya recommends Australia to
other international students looking for a study destination: “Australia
is a great place to come over to study and a great country to explore
as there is so much diversity.”
Sonya feels comfortable in her
life in Australia and is enjoying her time here: “Australia is easy to
get around, has friendly people and a great selection of food. I
definitely feel very much at home here.”
