Nina, Norway

Institution: Bond University

Nina is very happy with the quality of education she is receiving in Australia. She appreciates the “totally different way of studying” in Australia, and likes the fact that her assessment involves a combination of exams, oral presentations and written assignments.

Nina’s reasons for choosing Australia as her study destination include the “good reputation” that Australian institutions have overseas, and the fact that she can complete her studies “much faster than in Norway.”

In addition, Nina’s current specialisation, dispute resolution, is not offered in Norway. This specialisation therefore provides Nina with a qualification that is rare among others in her field at home: “Not many people have this specialisation in dispute resolution back in Norway, and therefore it makes my CV more special.”

As well as her studies, Nina is also a big fan of life in Australia and feels very much at home here. Nina enjoys Australia’s “nice weather,” “very nice social environment,” and the affordable cost of living and studying. In fact, she likes it so much she is already thinking about the next Australian course she will take.

“I definitely feel at home. I want to stay here much longer and I will definitely come back later. I would like to take a masters in economics as well.”

To other people considering studying in Australia Nina’s advice couldn’t be clearer: “Do not hesitate! You should definitely go. You will not regret, and you will have good memories for the rest of your life. You only live once, and life is short.”
