An Australian education will help you to climb the
corporate ladder, says Angela. She graduated six years ago and returned to
Singapore, using her Australian degree to win a job in public relations.
“My
qualification helped in securing work in my trained profession, in getting my
feet onto the first rung of the corporate ladder. Australia is well-known for
its excellent tertiary education system. Its institutions are internationally
recognised, especially in my home country,” she said.
Angela lists other
benefits of studying in Australia, including the affordability of tuition fees
and living expenses, proximity to the Asia Pacific and a hands-on approach to
learning.
“Lectures, tutorials and assignments were hands-on and
practical-based, with a dose of theory thrown in. We were taught using real-life
work situations.”
Angela also has some good advice for prospective students:
“Shop around for a reputable institution and find out its specialty. Different
universities are known for various disciplines. Look for one that is well-known
for the intended field of study. Consider also climate (warm or seasonal) and
metropolitan versus regional locality.”
