It’s not surprising that, seemingly, we all know a friend or have a relative who had studied, or is studying, in Australia. After all, Singaporeans constitute the fourth largest population of international students in Australia. There were at least 9,350 Singaporean students in Australia last year; and since 2002, more than 32,000 Singaporeans have enrolled in courses in the land down under!

Australia has always been a popular education destination for Singaporeans because of the proximity and our familiarity with the country (many of us have vacationed in Australia!). Furthermore, the high quality of education in Australia, as reflected by the consistent high rankings for its universities and schools, has also attracted many students.
