About Study in Australia

Study in Australia is the official education website of the Australian Government's trade promotion agency, the Australian Trade Commission (Austrade). The Austrade US education office is based in the Embassy of Australia in Washington, DC.  We work with institutions, associations, government and non-government agencies, as well as students and advisors to strengthen educational opportunities, research, and teaching  between Australia and North America.

As a government agency, we represent the entire Australian education sector. We do not recommend specific programs or institutions, run our own study abroad programs or accept applications for entry into an Australian institution. We can, however, direct you to a program provider, or an Australian institution's international office who will help you through the application process for studying in an Australian institution.

If you have questions that are not answered within our website, feel free to contact us by phone or email , Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Eastern Time. We do not conduct in-person student advising.
