Bachelor of Business, University of Southern Queensland (USQ)
Senior Vice President – Finance, Towngas China Company Limited
- The experience gained had well equipped me with the knowledge and skills in finance, accounting and other professional areas
I graduated with a Bachelor of Business degree majoring in Accounting and End User Computing from the University of Southern Queensland (USQ) in 1992. I truly enjoyed my time at USQ and felt that the experience gained had well equipped me with the knowledge and skills in finance, accounting and other professional areas such as organisational management and behaviour, communication skills, computer programming and systems planning and control.
Since graduation, I started as an accountant at BP in Hong Kong. I qualified as an accountant through CPA Australia and Hong Kong Institute of CPAs in 1993 and 1994 respectively. While working for BP, I had an opportunity to work and live in Melbourne for five years.
My experience at BP provided me with an extensive understanding of global business and cultural diversity. I currently work for Towngas China Company Limited as Senior Vice President – Finance. My strong leadership skills and professional qualifications have helped me win the respect of employees, customers and partners as a senior executive working for a number of local and international organisations.
In 2007, I joined the council of CPA Australia, Greater China Division. In 2010, I was elected as President for the Greater China region of CPA Australia. In this position, I lead members working for finance, accounting and business sectors in Hong Kong and China to succeed in their professional career development and serve the local community as a dedicated corporate citizen.
